Named after its designer, Jim Antrim, the Antrim 27 is a sportboat whose large asymmetric spinnaker swings on a patented articulated bowsprit. This 60-degree swivel range allows flexible downwind angling. The yacht's bulb keel retracts to allow ramp launching and can be raised for shallow-water sailing. These features were developed first on Antrim's design for the Ultimate 20. Crewed with four or five people and with room to sleep four, the Antrim 27 is primarily sailed in its home waters of Northern California, and there is strong one-design class racing on the San Francisco Bay. The boat is built by Columbia Yachts.
