The Frers 33 was designed by the Argentinian group German Frers, which has seen more than 1,000 yacht designs produced. A racer/cruiser with a molded fiberglass hull and deck, the Frers 33 carries a 4,000-pound lead-alloy keel. This sloop was built from 1986 to 1992 at Carroll Marine in Rhode Island. Accomodations are comfortable, and auxiliary power comes from a two-cylinder diesel engine. Sails include a mainsail, genoa, jib, and spinnaker. Racing is focused in the Long Island Sound region.
