» Slideshow (3 images)Eugene Yacht Club is located on Fern Ridge Reservoir, about 15 miles from downtown Eugene, Oregon. The club was started in the 1940's, and the current site is on land leased from the Army Corps of Engineers. The club features a spacious clubhouse, two hoists, two ramps, plenty of lawn for camping, a swimming area and play areas for children. Members may permanently park RV's in two rows on the club grounds--there's a waiting list for this sought-after privilege. Active one design fleets include Thistle, Santana 20,Laser,Lido 14, Lightning, Star, and Day Sailer.The club has hosted many regional and national regattas, including Thistle Nationals in 2002 and 2007, and recent Day Sailer, Santana 20, and Coronado 15 championships. The club hosts two of the Pacific Northwest's largest annual multi-class regattas, the Memorial Regatta in the spring and the Harvest Regatta in the fall.
